Fall Fashion Trends Outfit IDea

Isn't that green dress gorgeous?! I love that the cut and length are completely work appropriate, but the hint of lace adds some fun to the silhouette. It's a dress that can be worn with ankle booties for rainy fall days (fall here in the pacific northwest = endless rain lol), or pumps for a classic work look. I also like that this office outfit can easily transition into after-work drinks by simply adding a leather jacket and some great heels.

This week's weekend "want" outfit is extremely laid back. I like that the 70s style shirt has only slightly "belled" sleeves and that the lace up is not too low cut. I have aslo been wanting frayed hem skinny jeans for months and I think with these ones I have finally found the perfect pair!

If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen in my stories that I had a big 5 day trial that was supposed to start yesterday, but it ended up resolving. That means that I now have today - Friday off work! I am so excited to actually get done the millions of things I have been putting off as I prepared for the trial. My laundry pile has reached astronomical heights, my nails are in need of a polish, and I cannot wait to clean my apartment (...words I never thought I would say haha).

Since I've got this unexpected work break, I also hope to get into the fall spirit this week and
actually do some fall things; like baking a pumpkin pie! Any suggestions for fall recipes I should try or fall activities I should do this week?! Also you KNOW I love me some TV dramas, so if you have any suggestions for shows I can watch in the background while I cook & clean, I would love to hear em!

I wore this outfit this past weekend for the Deighton Cup - an annual horse racing event here in Vancouver. I was really excited to finally have an opportunity to wear this Kate Spade dress I got a few months back. The mint color is even prettier in person! I think it would be a perfect dress for a fancy brunch or bridal shower.

I decided to add this gorgeous hat by MARIA CURCIC MILLINERY to the outfit because, honestly, how many occasions do you have to get dress up and wear a hat!? I loved getting to wear it! One thing that is really cool about MARIA CURCIC MILLINERY is that they have a hat rental program so that (if you are local) you can rent hats for events instead of buying. Such a great way to accessorize for a fancy event without a commitment.

This week has been a whirlwind so far! Monday & Tuesday I was on vacation with my best friend and goddaughters (follow my twitter to see some hilarious fashion related tweets courtesy of my 7 year old god daughter!! haha) and so Wednesday & Thursday were nuts at work. Today should be equally crazy, but, at least it's a Friday! Plus we are FINALLY getting some sunshine & summer weather here in Vancouver!

On Friday I showed you a laid back 'after work' outfit, and today I wanted to show you another one! This dress is such a great fall staple - add some fall boots and you're good to go! Fashion simplicity at it's finest. I love that this dress is lined and that it is slightly longer than I expected. I can easily wear it even without tights, without worrying at all.

I got this dress using a new online shopping experience called
Brandzaffair. Have you heard of it? Brandzaffair is an online platform that allows you to shop your favourite brands and stores via their website - which, while using those big name stores, gives you a personalized shopping experience. You can see up to the date sales at any stores you want - searching by various criteria. You can also search by brands using their Brandzaffair Bargains feature. With this you can look up a specific brand, such as Lush, and see what Lush items are on sale across various store websites! This is such a time saver if you want to get the best deal on something without having to shop around!

Everyone ready to take on another work week? This weekend seemed to fly by for me! This was a busy weekend with friends birthdays/going away parties, an alumnae event at my alma mater and a little Vancouver blogger get together at my place. I also had a great dance class on Saturday - our teacher gave us choreography to Adele's "Hello" so I was beyond happy.Have a great start to your week and I hope to see you back here on Wednesday! In the meantime, be sure to follow along on instagram facebook.

While LegalLee Blonde is primarily a business casual / "wear to work" inspiration style blog, I do like to show weekend outfits every now and then (like my go-to summer outfit here). I could not resist showing you this weekend look as this may be my favourite dress ever. ever, ever.

I wore this outfit this past weekend to the Deighton Cup; a horse racing event here in Vancouver. It was a really fun event and I felt perfectly southern in this dress & hat combo. If you look closely you can see that the dress pattern is a whole bunch of Mint Julep cups - so perfect for our version of the Kentucky Derby!

I hope you all had a great weekend as well and are ready to take on another work week! Be sure to follow me on instagram to see my work outfit for today - and get some work outfit inspiration on your Monday morning!

I love a 20's-era dress paired with a menswear blazer. To me, this combination is the ultimate in chic; playing up femininity and strength. I also think this is the perfect way to do "cocktail attire" in the colder winter months.

Any fun plans for the weekend? Tonight I have a date at this awesome restaurant I have been wanting to try, so I am excited for that! I also just moved into a new apartment on Monday (not sure I have told you guys that yet!) so this weekend definitely holds a bunch of home decor/organization for me. I hope you all have a great weekend, catch ya on Monday!! xoxo
