Do you like my embellished collar shirt? Embellishments are everywhere this season, and are a great way to add some more glamour to a basic work look. Instead of spending money on yet another blouse, you can achieve this look with a little DIY!

This embellished shirt is actually a plain shirt which I have added a pair of stud earrings to. You can attach any pair of stud earrings to your collar (the bigger the better though) to temporarily give yourself an embellished shirt. I love this trick and have done it with so many of my collared shirts.

I purchased the pants you see here from Old Navy online a few weeks back. I used the EBates program I have mentioned to you before. Seriously, it is the easiest way to get a bit of extra cash. You get money back from purchases you'd be making anyway! I've now received two cheques from EBates and I love it! There is no "catch" and no cost to sign up. You can sign up here.

I've been working on updating my apartment for spring this week, and it has been a bit more of an undertaking than I expected! I bought a beautiful piece of art work (you can see it in this post) but the actual wooden frame is crooked and it's driving me crazy! Any brilliant ideas for how to fix it would be much appreciated! Have a great weekend everyone.

Wednesday Wants & March Purchases

what-to-wear-to-work-spring-2016

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all enjoying the short week (did you all have Monday off? Courts were closed on Monday so I had a luxurious day relaxing in the sun!)

There are a ton of great options out right now to update your work wardrobe  for spring. Go for bolder blazers (how great is that floral one?!) and lighter materials to bring your wardrobe into the nicer weather.

I can't believe March is over (well, tomorrow it is). The month flew by! I've decided at the end of each month to recap my purchases I made that month. I figure it is a great way to keep my own spending/shopping on track and it's great to show you guys the things you'll likely be seeing on LLB (or on my instagram - where I post more of my weekend casual wear) over the next few weeks. So, below is collage of everything i got this month

March Purchases:
Sam Edelman Lace Up Heels: $175. I LOVE these heels. They are even more beautiful in person, and are so comfortable. The neutral color and chunky heel is perfect for spring!

Old Navy White Cotton Dress: $45. I am a sucker for cotton dresses. I practically live in them during the summer. The fit and flare fit is my favorite dress fit so when I saw this (and I had an Old Navy coupon) I had to snag it!

Converse: $65. These are my new favorite things. I've already worn them to death!

Flared Denim: $35. I've been wanting to try the 70s trend for spring and these jeans were the perfect color (not too light) and the perfect fit (the little pocket detailing is so chic!)

Bow Midi Skirt: $190. I'm a sucker for midi skirts. I can't wait to wear this one.

Faux Leather Moto Jacket: $45. I needed a casual spring jacket and this one is beautiful. It's more blush than pure beige and it's quite fitted through the arms (which I love).

Blush Faux Leather Cross Body: $27. I've focused so much on having big structured handbags for work, that I realized I only had one cross body bag! This is a perfect neutral to go with pretty much every spring/summer outfit!

How stunning is this cobalt blue blazer?! A great way to shake yourself out of a work style rut is to pick one really bold item and style your outfit around that.

I love how well these statement earrings from Olive & Piper go with this look. The 'mixed media' in the earrings really makes them stand out as an item. The druzy stone, the pearl stone, and the crystal are such an unexpected (and gorgeous!) combo!

If you aren't familiar with O&P yet, you are going to LOVE them. High quality jewelry at affordable prices... it's basically the greatest. Until March 25th you can get 15% off any of their products by entering OliveLegalLee at checkout.

Bring on the last day of the work week! Have a great weekend everyone! Oh, and don't forget to come back on Monday because I've got the second post in my "Style Inspiration" series! I cannot wait to show you which celebrity or movie outfit I am recreating this time. If you missed my first post in the series, check it out here.

Hi, everyone!  My name is Brittany, and I am the lawyer and blogger behind the blog, Lawyer Lookbook.  I am so excited to get to meet y'all and guest post today on LegalLee Blonde!  A little about me: I am from Nashville, Tennessee, and practice primarily in the areas of family law, civil litigation, probate and estate planning.  Lawyer Lookbook is a fashion and lifestyle blog that I started as a creative outlet to inspire readers that professional women of all ages can be both successful and stylish.

For today's post, I wanted to showcase some recent looks and give you some ideas and inspiration on how to incorporate more color into your professional wardrobe. Whether it be a pop of pink in the form of a handbag, a patterned pencil skirt, or a bright blazer, there are so many ways to add color and make getting dressed for work fun.  Fashion is all about taking risks, and as far as I'm concerned, we working gals (and gents) can still wear bold colors and mix fun prints and patterns and get the job done- and look fabulous!

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to come visit Lawyer Lookbook!

Pretty In Polka Dots

Happy Friday, everyone! It's Amanda from Enchanting Elegance, a fashion and lifestyle blog where women can come to be inspired on creating their own personal style. I also run a side photography business and just had my baby girl Ava back in August. I'm so honored to be guest posting today on LegalLee Blonde!

Now a little bit about this polka dot ensemble. I love to add a bit of whimsy to all of my outfits whether is be a fun print, a bit of sparkle, or my all time favorite fabric of tulle, my goal is to have fun with my looks in an enchanting and romantic way. The classic color combo of red, black, and white is one that will always be in style and deliver a dose of sophistication. The bold polka dots make this outfit stand out and gives it a retro vibe. Who doesn't love a good twirl too?!

Here's a photo of Lee enjoying her vacation! She's at the hotel bar here. How amazing is that view?!

8 Pieces Every Professional Fashionista NEEDS in her Wardrobe

Hey Everyone! I am Bree - the blogger behind The Urban Umbrella which is a Vancouver based personal style and beauty blog that aims to help readers achieve their own personal sense of style regardless of their budget. I am so thrilled to be here on my fellow Vancouverites blog and I can’t wait to dive in and tell you the items you NEED in your wardrobe to rock your professional style!

Professional style can be quite tricky. Creating a unique look that makes you stand out amongst the crowd can prove difficult. The thing is though, professional style is all about structure, modest hemlines, and power pieces. Once you have that thought in your mind, it becomes much more natural to build a stylish look for the office.
