After Monday's post, I've found myself thinking a lot about my grandma and my mom. As such, for this week's Christmas Gift Guide edition of Wednesday Wants, I decided to do a guide for the women in your life that inspire you. Be that your grandmother, your mother, your sister, or a dear friend, these are my top picks for gifts for that inspiring women in your life.

Are you all on the way to being done your Christmas shopping? I admit, I have barely started! Ahh! Hopefully this weekend I can take an afternoon and go on a bit of a shopping spree! Office Christmas party

Today I wanted to share with you a holiday party look that is office appropriate. It's hard to know what to wear to a work party - especially if you are in a hyper-male industry like I am. The best advice I ever received was to maintain the same level of 'coverage' as you would in your workplace.

This is obviously different for every woman. I am NOT here to tell others what is appropriate for them; but, if you are someone who would never wear a short skirt to work, don't wear one to the work party! Whatever is appropriate for you for work- stick with that for the work party. Once you have your general fit/coverage idea, look for more sparkly or fun fabrics to make your outfit party ready!

This look is from an outfit post I did last year - I wore this to last year's Holiday party! The shift style and slightly longer length of the dress meant I was covered as much as I am day-to-day;  but the feathery fringe and sequins made it Holiday ready! I also added this menswear style blazer... mostly for warmth! haha

The Christmas season is almost upon us and I have seen so many great items coming up in stores that I think all you amazing, hard working, fashionista women need in your life. As I said the Elf Sweater is by far my favourite holiday item. It's actually a men's sweater, but I tried it on in stores and because of that it's longer and actually can be worn as a (short) tunic with leggings! I also think that a quality festive sweater (like this embellished mock neck one) is an essential element of every woman's work wardrobe.

Are you all getting in to the holiday spirit yet?! I must admit I started playing the Spotify Christmas music after work Monday night and am already dreaming of candy cane hot chocolate.
