If you follow me on instagram, you'll have seen that yesterday the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Vancouver as part of their royal trip to B.C. Friends & I went down to the sea wall to see them arrive by float plane. Of course, being a fashion blogger, I had to take the opportunity to wear the most 'royal appropriate' outfit I could think of.

The weather is freezing right now, so I decided to wear m pale pink winter dress coat on top of my cream dress. People tend to shy away from pastels in the fall and winter, but I think that pale pink is an all season color. It works great for fall paired with winter whites and greys.

While we only got to see Princess Kate & Will for a few minutes, it was truly incredible. Kate is even more gorgeous than I possibly could have imagined, and Will is even funnier (he made a comment about taking selfies!).

Kate wore a stunning Alexander McQueen red & white dress. The dress is part of their 2017 resort collection - though the actual dress is quite different than what Kate wore as she had a number of alterations done - including adding "dress shirt" style sleeves and lengthening the hem. She accessorized it with bright red pumps and a red clutch.

Below are some photos from the event. The quality is not the greatest, but I just love that I have them! For more photos & videos head on over to my instagram stories - quickly before they expire!

E-Shakti Review & Store Gift Cards!

navy-cotton-mid-length-dress

Monday mornings are rough (how did the weekend go by so quickly?!) so I thought for today's post I'd bring you a little cheer by giving you a coupon for $35 of store credit at eShakti!!! There is no "catch" in terms of a spending minimum, you just get $35 of credit that can be used anytime in the next 2 weeks! (see bottom of this post for the coupon)

You may remember the above photos from
this post. I got this eShakti dress in the fall and absolutely love it! eShakti is an online 'customizable' store, which is really cool. For the above dress I was able to select the neckline, sleeve length and length of the dress! I was wary of what the quality would be like (a risk of these online boutiques) but I was pleasantly surprised. The fabric is good quality and the actual stitching is well done.

eShakti recently revamped their store, adding new product categories such as jumpsuits and shorts. I really like a number of their new items; but below are my personal favourites.

Red Cotton Dress  Cotton Eyelet Dress   Flamingo Print Dress

Peplum Wrap Top      Tropical Print Dress      Scallop Shorts
