Being in corporate wear all week, sometimes it's nice to just throw on an easy dress. This wrinkled denim dress is perfect for a laid back weekend look.

In the spring, a great way to 'ease in' to your summer style is by pairing your dresses with ankle boots. This keeps your look from being too summery with the added bonus of having warm feet haha. 

I got these ankle boots while in Curacao last month (see my trip review here). Who would have guessed Curacao would have great ankle boots?! I was definitely surprised by how great the shopping was. Happy Friday readers! As you may have gathered from this week's Wednesday Wants, I have been loving the trend toward the 90s lately. As such, for today's post I wanted to undertake the challenge of mixing 90s fashion with a more contemporary 'after work' vibe. 

I love the idea of pairing a button-down shirt that is knotted in the front, with a pair of flared jeans. It creates a universally flattering silhouette. I decided to go with rose gold jewelry (readers, you know my love for rose gold); including my new favorite statement ring.

I hope you all have a great weekend ahead. I will be spending my weekend buried under paper work, but am really excited about taking an acro yoga class tonight and having a relaxing dinner with friends on Saturday night. Gotta love those mini breaks between the chaos! I hope to see you all back here on Monday!

Whenever I have the chance to be more casual on a work day the above is my go to "recipe". It's a simple formula that allows for a lot of diversity in your work look. I was talking to my best friend who lives in Australia and she was telling me about how her office does "casual Monday" instead of casual Friday. The reasoning,as she says, is because on Fridays you want to look sharp for after work drinks! I though that was pretty cool, so today i am embracing 'casual Monday'!

This may be the first time you've seen me in jeans on LLB! This is not because I don't like jeans, but because I haven't found ones that are both flattering and comfortable. Enter these relaxed skinny jeans from Dynamite. I am in love!

While I will always love opportunities to get all dressed up, in the summer, I find myself most often in shorts and a graphic tee. It's a casual look that transitions between summer "on-the-go" activities; from brunches, to walks on the beach, to backyard hangouts. These are some of my favourite tees & shorts that are available right now. The "Building my Empire" one is my absolute favourite and I may just have to order it this week!

I am STILL recovering from my hike on Sunday haha. It probably didn't help that I had a dance class Monday night too. I am definitely spending this evening in a hot tub, resting my sore muscles!!

Anyone who knows me knows I am anchor OBSESSED. I actually have a teeny tiny anchor tattoo on my wrist (I've posted a pic of it on instagram before if you want to see it!) Did you know that the anchor is the international symbol for hope? I love that!

I love this outfit for those early spring days or late summer days where you want to be outside constantly... but need a light sweater to stay warm.

This Friday could NOT have come soon enough! I am so looking forward to this weekend! It is supposed to be gorgeous weather here in Vancouver (yay!!) so I am so excited to go for my first patio brunch of the season (mimosasssssss!) and to spend time walking along the sea wall. Wherever you are wonderful readers, I hope your weather is finally starting to turn to spring!
