Wednesday Wants: Pastels

office appropriate dresses and pencil skirts

Pastels are, unsurprisingly, on-trend every spring. What I have noticed this year though is that we are seeing more and more work appropriate items - pencil skirts, sheath dresses & dress pants - in pastel colors. This is something that I haven't seen as much in years past, and I am glad we are getting this diversity in work wear color!

This week's wants are focused entirely on pastel work appropriate items. My favorite is probably the pale blue sheath dress. I would love to wear this to work with a pair of nude pumps.

I hope you are all having a great work week!

Wednesday Wants: Spring Office Wear

I've been slowly bringing out my spring work wardrobe this past week. For me, that means lots of blush, gray, and pale blues and yellows. This week's Wants are all items I would love to add to my spring wardrobe. I definitely think I need to pull the trigger on all 3 pairs of shoes. The chunky heel pumps are right on trend (and I love the suede). The other two are both new patterns/colors of my favorite shoes - Ivanka Trumps

Today is my last day of being 29. I am freaking out (slightly) less than i thought I would be, so I am calling that a win. Today is also my last day of work before a 4 day weekend so, that is exciting! I've decided not to do any sort of big celebration for my birthday - instead I've asked friends and family to spend whatever money they would normally spend on me (be that $7 buying a drink at a bar, or $25 on a gift, etc.) and instead spend that on something good. I.E. Donate it to a local charity, buy the person behind you in line a cup of coffee etc. I then asked my friends to tell me about what they did as that will bring me SO much more joy than any present could.

See you all back here on Friday for a spring work outfit AND another giveaway! You don't want to miss it!

Wednesday Wants

Neutrals - blush tones, camels, and greys - are going to be very popular this winter. I've been eyeing a number of great neutral pieces in stores lately and thought I'd get a head start on rounding up some great pieces for the late fall and early winter. I must say my favourite items are the gorgeous wrap coat and bow coat!

Today promises to be a busy day with a course on ethics in the legal profession in the evening followed by one of my favourite dance classes. I hope you all have a great day ahead as well! See you back here on Friday!!

I am so in love with this bow back top. The detailing on the back is so cute and it is one of the comfiest tops I own! When I received it the bow was a bit "floppy" so I used double sided tape to stick it to the shirt and it worked perfectly. For only $16 though, I'm counting this top as a win!

Have I told you guys that I used to be a hardcore ballet dancer? I trained for years (and still dance for fun). This top just screamed "ballerina" to me, so I chose to pair it with the BEST (most comfortable) stretchy denim leggings and my lace up ballet flats for a full on ballerina vibe.

I have a busy weekend ahead and will probably wear this outfit at least once haha. I am so excited to be grabbing drinks tonight with a fashion blogger friend (follow on instagram to see who!) Tomorrow I have one of my closest friend's birthday celebrations, and Sunday I will be attending a red carpet event for Vancouver International Film Festival. It's going to be a whirlwind! I hope you all have exciting, fun and adventurous weekends! See you back here on Monday (...I'm going to post some photos of my outfit from the red carpet!)

Happy Monday everyone! In honour of what is an insanely busy work week this week (I'm in court every day in multiple courthouses each day); I
thought I'd show another work look. Unlike my post last week I wouldn't wear this outfit to court (have to stick to suits) but this is definitely a go to outfit for when I'm out of court meeting clients, doing research etc. I think this would be a great look for anyone working in a business casual office environment.

One of my go to fashion moves is combining different shades of the same colour. The outfit inevitably looks put together and chic. I wanted to compliment the three shades of grey in this look with pale pink as I am loving pale pink & grey together for spring. If you are ever feeling "stuck" for outfit inspiration definitely try combining shades of one colour and let me know how it goes!

Have a great day everyone! I'll be back, as always, on Wednesday with my Wednesday Wants. Thank you SO much for reading and please follow me on instagram or bloglovin' as well (link button at the bottom of this post)
